Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
