Actor Denies Anti-Vax Stance After Voicing Disputed Covid Documentary

The acclaimed actor has lent his voice to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of vaccinations and lauds ex- cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Basis

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a bestselling book written by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for allegations that the illness was caused by a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

Her co-author, the executive producer, has also written books with far-right media personality the Infowars host. Heckenlively recently posted hailing Neeson's participation in the project.

A Firm Rebuttal

The team of the actor have released a response pushing back against claims that he subscribes to anti-immunization views.

"We all recognize that corruption might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be equated to being against vaccines," the comment states. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the UN children's agency underscores his long-held support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the actor had no hand in the film's editorial content and that inquiries about its claims are best addressed to the creators.

Key Claims Within the Film

In the film, the narration provided by Neeson makes several strong claims:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "research has become highly politicized."
  • Kennedy is shown saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • It also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Controversy and Current Debates

The documentary further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about clinical trials on children, which was subsequently the focus of a correction by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Recently, the political figure called on the CDC to revise its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is echoed in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the global health body confirming no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Position of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an incredible triumph," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has lost sight of how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in our history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's voice stating, "This marks not the end of our narrative. This is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
