A female charged with pursuing Kate McCann apparently deposited her a voicemail message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"

On Monday, the tribunal heard phone records and data recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test during that period.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a trip in Portugal - is among the most publicized child disappearance cases and continues to be unresolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

A separate phone message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I feel what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? Then what? Wouldn't that be significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a life here in Poland, I just want to discover," the recording stated.

The panel was advised that via electronic messages, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a bid to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the data, told the court there "didn't appear to be any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, the father picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I won't give up and I will prove my claim."

Kate and Gerry McCann testified to the court from behind a privacy screen on Wednesday

The court learned Mrs Spragg struck up a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt before assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in December 2024.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had communicated through communication app to Mrs McCann to state the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the months leading up to the appearance to that location, the county, in last December.

The court was told correspondence between the two defendants, in last November, considering trying to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We need to assert ourselves," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their home, the defendant sent a communication which expressed: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' house with our headlights off resembling private investigators. I desired to achieve this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The trial proceeds.
